OOOH, SOOOOO CLOSE!

Here is little Jo Jo being such a wiggle worm and trying so stinkin hard to crawl. It's like she doesn't understand that in her head she is going places, but her body just doesn't move like she wants it to!

......then she pokes her little bum in the air out of frustration......rolls over.........and whines because she is still in the same spot!

(this is my poor watery eyed, drooling from not being able to breathe baby girl)
We took a trip to the Doctor on Saturday...it always makes you feel like a terrible mom when the doc looks at you and says "Wow, she has two ear infections and a sinus infection....how long has she been like this?" Yep, I think that with the first child you tend to run to the doc for every little sniffle and stress out when they have to get antibiotics. Not so much with the children after that. You always think, aaahh it's just a cold she will get over it! Bad mom award goes to me!!! I guess I get what I deserve because the last two nights have been VERY sleepless and exhausting. The crazy part is whether I get 2 hours or 8 hours of sleep, I still seem to have the same energy. Maybe it's a mom thing????????

My Snow Babies!

My girls beg me daily if they can go play out in the snow. Most parents are like, Yay go ahead get out of the house! Not me. It takes us about 20 minutes just to get them dressed and find the right gear (you know tink hat with minnie gloves, HSM scarf with matching boots) Those of you with girls REALLY understand, pure drama. Then they make it outside for about three minutes tops because their hands are cold and they can't walk in the hard snow. Then they come in crying, drop off all their gear at the door and curl up to watch a cartoon. So like I said, never that excited when I finally say yes, just a lot of work! Well anyway, is a picture of the whole three minutes of them enjoying snow(for the record, Sicilee only last 2 minutes)

Out on the town with Poppy!!

My dad came into town on business again this week, so we decided to try out the ol' famous Red Robin for dinner. For knowing a little about the restaurant business, I was very impressed! Food and service was great, and the kids loved the balloons for entertainment!

I was trying to get a pic of Joldy trying to bite his "monster" burger, but he caught me so he wouldn't.

This is Chelcey shoving food in her face, aaaahhh I bet your chair creeked when you were all done!!!!(This is my sister who endlessly makes fun of my chubby baby)
This is Jo Jo wanting "real food" and thinking that she really is going to get it!!

And this is quality time with Poppy!!!!

And my little Carter buddy just being good as always Aynslee enjoying the newest discovery of how fun balloons are!!

My little Valentines

Jaycee and Sicilee had their school Valentine's party...........so we decided to dress them for the occasion. Anyslee felt a little left out so we dressed her up too. They came home with lots of Valentine cards and candy. Crazy enough, Jaycee could read the names on the cards and knew exactly who gave her which one. Nothing really passes by her, Sicilee just kept saying candy over and over, and Aynslee liked eating the cards. My kids always find a way to enjoy the simpliest things in life!!

Lil' Stinker

Aynslee has been getting so frustrated lately because she wants to crawl so bad and hasn't quite figured it out. She can sure scoot backwards all over the house and will go from a sitting position to rocking back and forth on all fours until her wrists give out and she crushes her nose on the floor. Tough lil stinker!!!!

Pillow Pile!!

This is how the kids entertained themselves
while Halley and I did some vinyl. This is kind of a tradition when the cousins come over. They always pull all the pillows off my couch, jump on them, until usually one of them bonks heads or just plain misses the pillows!

Projects

I always have these projects I am working on and lately it is my hallway. My sister Halley gives me crap about not doing before and after pics, I just like the after ones. Recently, I have figured out how to do vinyl on my cricket and it is fabulous! Hard and time consuming but well worth it. So here are some pics of the recent ones, Halley came over on Sunday to help me with the feet one (luckily she is tall and could just stand on my stairs) The sayings are hard to see in the pics, SORRY! As soon as we master vinyl at my house we will move on to Halley's house. Silly that her and I get so excited over little things like this!

Are you ready for some Football!

Okay maybe I was more ready for the food and company rather than the game. Some of my sisters and their families came over and our friends the Postons joined us too. The cute little red-head in the picture is their little Hannah. Anyslee enjoyed her "doll" friend, and the kids played downstairs all day and didn't even fight. The Poston's have two little girls, one on the way, and good ol' Gunner. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food! I took some pics of Halley drooling while she slept through half of the game, but she got ahold of my camera and deleted them. They were worth a good laugh, I am disappointed I can't share them with you.

All dressed {up} with no where to go!

My girls were so sad to have a snow day yesterday and not be able to go to school. Bbbrrrr it was stinkin cold. I believe it was at least 20 below! I think I even saw tears running down their little cheeks. As much as I used to love snow days, not so much the kids. They did, however, get to go and hang out with Carter all day while I worked.

SWEET tooth

I decided to put my new kitchen aide to work and I whipped up some cookies n' cream cupcakes. You have to understand that cupcakes are
my weakness. My neighbor is actually the owner of the fabulous cupcake store the Cocoa Bean. I tried once to get out of her some of her cupcake secrets......yep still secrets; didn't work. When I had Aynslee she brought over cupcakes a few times and I accused her of not helping me lose the baby weight! So these sweet babies are why me and my treadmill are best buddies. Never been a girl who watches what I eat (yes I know some day it will catch up with me; hopefully later rather than sooner:) instead I just run on my treadmill. As a mom I just sacrifice A LOT of sleep for workout time. Life is just a little easier when I am not cranky from eating things that.....well are not satisfying to my little taste buds. So I will go on enjoying my endulgence in cupcakes and still fit into my jeans!!! My mother knows my cupcake habit and for Christmas she bought me a cupcake doctor cookbook. FABULOUS. I have never made such moist, delightful, and most of all addicting devilish cupcakes. My husband seems to like my cupcake baking skills too!

One year younger, & wiser too!

Okay maybe the younger part isn't true, but the wiser part is!! I celebrated my 27th b-day on Sunday. The older you get the waaay less exciting it gets. Although Jaycee probably told me happy birthday minimum 100 times, she is pretty good at making you feel special. My mom some of my sisters came over and made some dinner and ate some cake. It was good to take a day and relax. Here are some random pics! Do notice the very last picture is tickets to see Britney Spears in concert. I also just found out that the Pussycat Dolls are opening for her, sooooo excited to see her perform. I invited Halley to go with me cuz I didn't think that Joldy was such a fan. I drag him to enough chick flicks, I thought that I would cut him some slack on this one!

OREO Smiles

So I gave my baby an oreo for the first time, weird enough, she LOVED it! Not that I didn't think she wouldn't, but she sure did make a big mess. It occupied her for a good hour and I was able to catch up on some house work. Thanks Nabisco for entertaining my baby!!!!!!

Time {passes} us by

As a parent we always get so excited when our children learn or do something new such eating baby food for the first time and cherishing THAT expression, sitting up, babbling, rolling over, and the biggest excitement of all would most likely be potty training. Except when you know that it is the last child that you will get to share these moments with......then it becomes a happy-sad moment. Aynslee has now turned 6 months old and has accomplished so much! Eating baby food {there isn't anything this child won't eat}, rolling all over the floor, sitting up by herself, babbling like crazy, sleeping in her own bed, graduating to Howard the Duck bathtub because she can now sit up, wearing 12 month clothes already.....all the things that you actually look forward to seem to creep up on me a little too fast with her. Even though I look forward to the day I get to sleep through the night again, and not have to change a poopy diaper, I wish that just sometimes I could stop time to enjoy the tender moments just a little bit longer. Every time I rock her to sleep I just stare at her in amazement of how fast she is growing and developing and I can't help but smile and keep staring. Children do amazing and powerful things to my heart. I do have to say though, each day my patience grows more and more. I think it has to keep in sync with my little divas. I have been getting a huge kick out of the oldest two kiddos and their imagination when they play now. Funny enough, their newest and most entertaining is playing "David and Jaime". Yep, Jaycee plays David and Sicilee is Jaime with a new born baby. They rarely play Joldy and Meggan, but when they do I have to say that they are way too observant. They sound just like me {scary to hear yourself through your children}. Even to their gestures like putting their hands on their hips when they pretend get in trouble and have to go to the corner. Kids are little only once and I just wanted to take a little "Meggan Mommy Moment" and appreciate my children only being little once. And continue to just spoil them rotten because I can!!!!

Rubba Dub Dub.....

Look at my cute little girlies splashin in some bubbles. {Well Aynslee is actually eating them and thinking that it is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!} My older girls always ask if Aynslee can bath with them, I really don't mind except for the fact that she won't hold still for even a second. I always think that she is going to wiggle right out of Jaycee hands and take a dive into the water. So only once in a while do I let them. They giggled a lot and had lots of fun!

Christmas at Disney Land

Our surprise trip turned out to be quite the surprise until we pulled up to Uncle Kerry's house and Jaycee said, "dad, why are we at California again?" She thought that it was uncle Levi's house. She didn't even connect the California and Disney Land together. We had to tell her. Our plan worked!!! Anyway we had a blast. Loved how festive everything was, all the way to the snowmen caramel apples. The castle was breathetaking. It is so much easier keeping the kids warm rather then keeping them cool when we go in October. Anyslee was such an angel, as usual she is just along for the ride. And many rides she did go on!!! Driving wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be, aside from the 2 blown tires at 1 am which put our driving time to about 26 hours because obviously we only had one spare tire so we had to wait for the tire store to open the next morning. Roads were awesome all the way home!!!! Here are some pics, sorry it is so long but I wanted to share a lot of the christmas decor with you!!!!

My baby girl turns 5

Busy, busy, busy. I haven't blogged in a while and so I have a lot of catching up to do. It's late so I will just show some pics of Jaycee's birthday. On December 11 my oldest turned 5 years old and my baby girl Aynslee turned 5 months old. Sad for me, yet fun day for Jayc. She started off at school celebrating her special day, which just means that she was in the spotlight all day. We had everyone over for pizza, cake, and ice cream. She got some really cute and fun gifts. Thanks everyone who gave Jayc a fun birthday!!!

6 years and counting....

Click to play Anniversary
Create your own greeting - Powered by Smilebox

Here you have it ladies, six years and three little angles later. Every day flies by like there was no yesterday and every moment is cherished. Even through all the struggles and hard times, those are the ones that bring us closer. Marriage is like a really big roller coaster.....every time you go over a bump, you get butterflies and smile really big and laugh. Sometimes there is the unknown and you take a really sharp turn that takes your breathe away. And when it stops, you look back and think that it went by too darn fast.

Most of you already know how my husband bends over backwards for me. There isn't anything that he wouldn't do for me. He is the most selfless person I know. I admire him for putting his heart in everything that he does, and trying to impress me the whole way. Babe, I love you(and your cute balding head too LOL) Growing old with you makes me look forward to each day and smile and look backwards in sadness that time passes by so fast, but a good sadness because memories are made. Your girls have the best daddy ever and they let you know it by wrapping their cute little arms around you every day. XOXOXOXO Cheers to us and our future!

My Amazing Wife

Okay so i have no clue what i am doing or if this will even work. But i just wanted to take a second and express my love to my gorgeouse wife on our 6th ann. She is by far the most amazing person i know. She puts her heart and soul in to everything she does. She is the hardest worker, The best wife and mother, and when she has fun she is a blast. She is truly my best friend, and any one who knows us knows she puts up with a lot being married to me. I truly am grateful to have her in my life. Our girls think she is the greatest thing in the world and i agree. Thank you sweetie for being such a good mom, and most important putiing up with me. I seem to be losing my good looks and hair for that matter but she still loves me. Then there is her who gets better looking every day. Pretty soon people will say hey who is the smokin hot chick with that ugly bald guy . I love her more than anything and just wanted her to know how special she is I love you honey happy ann.

Camera Broke, Now Fixed

Kind of funny story with the camera. Then lens wasn't coming out which won't even let it turn on, so Joldy called the company and we were going to have to ship it to them and they would fix it and ship it back. Well with the holidays coming up it would almost guarantee that I wouldn't have my camera. Joldy who is an internet addict decided to read up on it. One guy left his comment that he dropped it and it randomly started working again. Joldy didn't want to do that so he was shaking it really really hard and accidently sent it flying accross the room on my kitchen floor. And POOOOF! It works again........for now! So here is a little catching up.

Okay so I am not a huge fan of cats or kittens and when Nickole called and said that she got Roman not 1 but 2 kittens, she really wanted the girls to go and see them. And of course the whole time taunting my children to tell me they wanted a kitten. I DID NOT cave. So we will just have to visit Aunt Nickole if we want to see some kittens. However, handsome little Roman now has somebody to play with.....so to speak.(hopefully they stay alive with him handling them). And we all know how both of my girls say kitty......you know "titty tat" mom.

Roman is so funny, he just hugs Jaycee a million times everytime that he gets to see her. Anyway here are some pics............

After we did all of our Christmas decorating (minus the outside) the girls decided to strike a pose in front of our "no touchy" (good wording Jaime) tree. The tree downstairs is princess. Gee that's weird, something in our house princess?

And this is the latest picture of my baby girl. She is getting so big!!! She babbles Da Da all day long. Of course Dad thinks it is great. She turns 5 months on the 11th AND also on the 11th my oldest turns 5! Then saturday we leave for Disney Land for our Christmas surprise for the girls. Busy busy week coming up for us!!!!
