Christmas 2010

I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas Holiday! I made a french toast breakfast the night before and then baked it for Christmas morning (best idea ever). The girls slept in until 8 and then we opened presents, cleaned up, put presents together, and the kids played endlessly. It was so nice to stay in our pajamas the whole day! Only 2 sisters made it over for a little dinner, so most of the day is was just our little family.

Lainee slept the whole time, through all the noise and excitement.

This has got to be the cutest present to ever sit under our tree!

One of our family traditions on Christmas Eve is opening sister gifts and Christmas jammies. I think Lainee just wanted to come early so she wasn't left out:)

Oh the fabulous holiday activities.................

Joldy was trying to start a tradition of going to look at the Christmas lights/shows, it didn't go so well. After we stopped and watched 2 of them Aynslee fell asleep, Jayc was upset because she thought we were going to the drive in and wanted to get snacks, and Sicilee thought we were going to Chucky Cheese for dinner!?! I basically laughed the whole way home. Not the reaction we thought we would get.
I took our little Lainee to the doctor and she weighs in at 6.6 lbs and 19 inches long, a whole 2% for her age :) She is 5 weeks old and has obviously going to hit a big growth spurt cuz she has caught up to my milk supply and wants milk every 2 1/2 hours. So nursing is working out well for us, especially at night so I get more sleep. She is changing every day and I am savoring every moment I can with her...............they are only little once.

Birthday Movie

Since Jayc had a cheer competition on the day of her birthday, I took the 3 older girls to Tangled to celebrate a week later. It was the cutest Disney movie I have seen yet! Aynslee did so good and watched the whole thing.....well there was about a million questions during it but she had her popcorn and candy that kept her pretty occupied.

Baby Luv

First of all I must say a huge thanks to everyone who has given us flowers and gifts!! We have been showered with them very generously. Here is one of the cutest arrangement of cookies I have ever seen!

Life at the Watts house has been pretty busy since we got our little bundle of joy came home! Joldy and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on December 6th and we snuck away for a dinner for two while my mom watched the kiddos (yes we are so boring). Jaycee turned 7 on Decemeber 11th and we were in Utah for a cheer competition, Jayc took 2nd and Sissy took 1st! The girls were able to see Santa at the mall, Aynslee only liked him from a distance of course :)

We are loving our little angel! She definitely has got the eating thing down and demands her milk now (huge milestone for her). Her little chipmunk cheeks are starting to show even though she still has the skinniest chicken legs ever. She is a little spoiled and thinks she needs held all day, we kind of enjoy that (until I go back to work that is). Has found her thumb a few times and has graduated from preemie diapers and clothes to newborn. I actually went and bought her some newborn outfits cuz I was tired of only her jammies fitting her.

She is loving her baths and falls asleep instantly. It must remind her of being in the womb, she is so funny.

Aynslee is doing much better and has become my biggest helper. Her fits have calmed down and she actually waits for me to change her bum so she can run the diaper to the garbage and then waits for her to finish her bottle so she can put it in the sink. Lainee has taken to nursing but I produce way more than she eats so I still have to pump after I feed her. Really time consuming but hopefully she will catch up soon (mostly because my freezer is now a dairy) She should have milk for at least two months after I decide to stop!

Lainee's Homecoming!!

Our little baby got to come home on Friday.....hooray! Her sisters are loving her to death, literally. Aynslee is a little or A LOT possessive. She wants to hold her ALL DAY LONG and doesn't want her other sisters to even go near her. Not the reaction we thought she would have. We just let her throw her fits and try to let her help with everything :)

Here is our little elf who decided herself that she wanted to go home. She had pulled her own feeding tube out completely and didn't even make a peep while she did it.....then from that point on she ate all her bottles right on que for 48 hours straight and then we got to come home. It is like she turned a corner and kept going!

Daddy was only able to come to the hospital for one feeding a day since he had to go back to work then head home to bath the girls, do homework, keep up on my house, and get the kids to bed. HUGE shout out to my family, especially my mother who unexpectedly had to take vacation time that is going to be much needed for Halley and Nickole here very shortly! My house was kept up on and my girls always had a taxi and someone to watch them. Thanks Family!!!!! Most of all...........a big I LOVE YOU to my wonderful husband who made it possible for me to spend 12 hours a day at the hospital and being my emotional support.

Our first night home was a little rough. I thought that since she was laid down at the hospital and slept in her bed most of the time that it was what she wanted........learned the hard way and night #2 she slept right next to me and mommy got much more sleep:) We sure love her so much and it is so good to have her home!

Baby Update

My little Lainee still isn't home yet but is showing huge milestones!! Most of her firsts are in the hospital so here is her first bath(she was not happy) and her first beanie now that she can regulate her own temperature!!! She just has to work on waking up on her own and drinking her whole bottle. With these little preemies it is like 2 steps forward 1 step back. We sure hope she can come home within the next week though :)

She's here! A little early..........

Our little angel wanted her own birthday and for it not to be around Christmas! Miss Lainee Rose Watts born Wednesday November 24th at 10:40 a.m. weighing in at 5 lbs 7 oz and 18 inches long. Definitely our little runt! Being 5 weeks early she has been in the nurses care until she is strong enough to eat without help. Her lungs are doing great and she is breathing on her own. I chose to not show pics yet cuz she has a lot of cords and tubes, but she is BEAUTIFUL! Here is our story:

Tuesday I chose not to go to work due to road conditions, yet for some reason I felt really good. I got this crazy I need to get ready for the baby bug and got her car seat and diaper bag all ready. Then it didn't stop there.......I didn't stop nesting the rest of the day! I drove my husband nuts! I even went and got some blanket material to match her take home outfit, but didn't get around to make it. At 6 am I felt like I peed my pants so I got up, went to the bathroom.........nothing else. Changed my pants and went to crawl back in bed when I felt more water, I woke up my husband and said " I think I am leaking fluid but it is way too early". I got the one eye open thing and a huh? Then the rest of my water broke, and I started crying cuz I knew it was too early and was worried for the baby. I called my mom to come be with my kids and we headed for the hospital. Everything happened so fast from that point on. They checked me and I was dilated to a 3 but she was breech.......ultrasound showed feet in the birth canal. Doc was called and he did another ultrasound to confirm and then did the most painful thing that I have ever experienced........tried to turn her himself. Mission not accomplished......c-section was then performed less then an hour later. I actually felt a little guilty for not going through labor pains. She cried right away which made me cry...mostly in relief. They quickly showed her to me over the sheet and then I didn't get to see her for a long time. Joldy did though...FYI... my poor husband who doesn't do well during these situations was white and barely said 2 words the whole time! She is tough and is progressing, she just got put on a bili-blanket for jaundice so she will have to stay a few more days. I have never left the hospital without my baby so this is going to be hard. When they take the IV out of her little head I will post some pics....she is the first child to not look so much like her daddy and a little more like her momma :)

Disney Land and 1st Cheer Competition

The Watts family has been super busy having too much fun the last couple of weeks! It was exhausting but well worth it of course. I definately wouldn't recommend going on a "walking" vacation at 34 weeks preggers though :) Although, I didn't gain any weight, the contractions were so consistent that she settled herself right down where she should which made it so I can breathe finally, and I was so tired by the end of the day that I slept so good. Some pros and cons I guess.

We took Nickole and her husband for their first visit (she was 32 weeks preggers) so we waddled behind everyone together. Their son is obsessed with buzz.....and he was the first character we saw!!! Joldy and Dan got to ride all the adult rides together and were bigger kids than our own :)

Aynslee was my typical 2 year old and yes the fits were there every day, but she was such a trooper and woke up every morning ready to see "minnie's house". She finally took a nap in the stoller the very last day.....it was much needed.

There is a serious picture overload....sorry!

The Danny and Nickole George Family

We always hit up Goofy's Kitchen to get our family photo for the year (seriously) so here is the whole clan! After we ate we headed up to see Uncle Levi and soak up some much needed sun at the beach.

I have to admit the daddy daughter photo is priceless! She was stuck on him like glue the WHOLE trip. Everything was "daddy do it" holding her in line, bathroom breaks....you name it she wanted him and no complaints on my end :)

The girls were so funny about sand being everywhere!!!!!! Aynslee kept saying "sand in my bum, hurts" haha I sure love this little girl.

We came home with 3 bags of stuffed Disney animals that Joldy and the girls won while I shopped at the stores

We went during Christmas specifically this year, the lights and festiveness were so amazing.

After six long days in California we got back Friday just in time to unpack, do laundary, and pack back up because Jayc and Siss had their first cheer competition the next morning. I was so impressed with Sissy not being scared and smiling the whole time! I was a little worried with the whole cheer thing with her but she seems to love it as much as Jayc. Jaycee was so funny cuz she is one of the girls they lift a lot and they missed lifting her once and she was "pissed." She scowled the rest of the dance and then plopped her bum next to me after and crossed her arms and then continued to pout. I am a poor sport losing games and bets with my husband so I guess she got that from me. All in all, both of their teams took first place and no harm done with some serious scowls from Jaycers.

I love their new uniforms this year! And I love that Sissy gets to have pigtails!
Our schedule is still super crazy up until the baby comes. I have four weeks left (I have already scheduled my induction day so I can be home for Christmas....it does pay to always measure so big and to have the option to go at 39 weeks :) So with Disney Land, first competition, and Thanksgiving being this week my checklist is half done. Now I just have anniversary, 2nd cheer competition in Utah (same day as Jaycee's birthday), graduation week for work, then hooray she will be here!!!!!!

Happy Halloween

Since half of the sisters are having babies for the holidays, we decided to do our big family get together for the year for Halloween. Katie couldn't make it up but most of the grand kids all got to go trick-or-treating together! They were so cute and LOVED getting candy. I told the girls they could not be princesses this year so Jayc was a witch, Sis was spider girl, and Aynslee was a bee who was showing off her stinger that stuck out in back.

Here is the cutest kid in the universe! Little Roman was a cop and I was trying to get a pic of just him and Nickole said "Tell aunt Meggan to put her hands in the air" and cute as he is......he dropped his gun and put HIS hands in the air. It was so funny :)

After we gather too much candy around Rigby, we then hit the Boo and the Zoo! The kids had a blast!

To celebrate my mom's and Nickole's b-day (which is on the same day) we decided to do a spa morning with all the sisters and mom! No pics were taken cuz there was a lot of facials, massages, mani's, pedi's, and waxing. Afterwards we hit Olive Garden for lunch and then the mall for some much needed shopping minus the kiddos. Hooray for all the daddy's for taking the kids so the girls could have some pampering:) I did try to get a pic of the chubby, swollen, sparkly toes for you though.
