My girls were so sad to have a snow day yesterday and not be able to go to school. Bbbrrrr it was stinkin cold. I believe it was at least 20 below! I think I even saw tears running down their little cheeks. As much as I used to love snow days, not so much the kids. They did, however, get to go and hang out with Carter all day while I worked.

SWEET tooth
I decided to put my new kitchen aide to work and I whipped up some cookies n' cream cupcakes. You have to understand that cupcakes are
my weakness. My neighbor is actually the owner of the fabulous cupcake store the Cocoa Bean. I tried once to get out of her some of her cupcake secrets......yep still secrets; didn't work. When I had Aynslee she brought over cupcakes a few times and I accused her of not helping me lose the baby weight! So these sweet babies are why me and my treadmill are best buddies. Never been a girl who watches what I eat (yes I know some day it will catch up with me; hopefully later rather than sooner:) instead I just run on my treadmill. As a mom I just sacrifice A LOT of sleep for workout time. Life is just a little easier when I am not cranky from eating things that.....well are not satisfying to my little taste buds. So I will go on enjoying my endulgence in cupcakes and still fit into my jeans!!! My mother knows my cupcake habit and for Christmas she bought me a cupcake doctor cookbook. FABULOUS. I have never made such moist, delightful, and most of all addicting devilish cupcakes. My husband seems to like my cupcake baking skills too!

One year younger, & wiser too!
Okay maybe the younger part isn't true, but the wiser part is!! I celebrated my 27th b-day on Sunday. The older you get the waaay less exciting it gets. Although Jaycee probably told me happy birthday minimum 100 times, she is pretty good at making you feel special. My mom some of my sisters came over and made some dinner and ate some cake. It was good to take a day and relax. Here are some random pics! Do notice the very last picture is tickets to see Britney Spears in concert. I also just found out that the Pussycat Dolls are opening for her, sooooo excited to see her perform. I invited Halley to go with me cuz I didn't think that Joldy was such a fan. I drag him to enough chick flicks, I thought that I would cut him some slack on this one!

Time {passes} us by
As a parent we always get so excited when our children learn or do something new such eating baby food for the first time and cherishing THAT expression, sitting up, babbling, rolling over, and the biggest excitement of all would most likely be potty training. Except when you know that it is the last child that you will get to share these moments with......then it becomes a happy-sad moment. Aynslee has now turned 6 months old and has accomplished so much! Eating baby food {there isn't anything this child won't eat}, rolling all over the floor, sitting up by herself, babbling like crazy, sleeping in her own bed, graduating to Howard the Duck bathtub because she can now sit up, wearing 12 month clothes already.....all the things that you actually look forward to seem to creep up on me a little too fast with her. Even though I look forward to the day I get to sleep through the night again, and not have to change a poopy diaper, I wish that just sometimes I could stop time to enjoy the tender moments just a little bit longer. Every time I rock her to sleep I just stare at her in amazement of how fast she is growing and developing and I can't help but smile and keep staring. Children do amazing and powerful things to my heart. I do have to say though, each day my patience grows more and more. I think it has to keep in sync with my little divas. I have been getting a huge kick out of the oldest two kiddos and their imagination when they play now. Funny enough, their newest and most entertaining is playing "David and Jaime". Yep, Jaycee plays David and Sicilee is Jaime with a new born baby. They rarely play Joldy and Meggan, but when they do I have to say that they are way too observant. They sound just like me {scary to hear yourself through your children}. Even to their gestures like putting their hands on their hips when they pretend get in trouble and have to go to the corner. Kids are little only once and I just wanted to take a little "Meggan Mommy Moment" and appreciate my children only being little once. And continue to just spoil them rotten because I can!!!!

Rubba Dub Dub.....
Look at my cute little girlies splashin in some bubbles. {Well Aynslee is actually eating them and thinking that it is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!} My older girls always ask if Aynslee can bath with them, I really don't mind except for the fact that she won't hold still for even a second. I always think that she is going to wiggle right out of Jaycee hands and take a dive into the water. So only once in a while do I let them. They giggled a lot and had lots of fun!
