Cheer Nationals

The girls and I headed for Utah for nationals. My Jaycers took 4th and Sissy took 2nd. It is so funy because Jaycee gets sooooo disappointed when she doesn't always get first like last year. It is hard to teach your kid that you still performed great even if you don't take home a first place trophy. She is in the "mini" team and there is A LOT more competition. "Tiny" team basically looks cute and shakes their bums and they usually get a big standing ovation. And boy can Sissy shake her bum bum! It was a great girls weekend and we managed to get some shopping in, always a favorite of mine when hitting up Utah. Nickole and her husband have recently moved to Utah and so she got to see them perform. Nickole is their favorite and were so excited to hang with her for the weekend.

On another note, I couldn't be blessed with a better baby! She sleeps so good and is sooooooo content. A word that never existed with the previous 3. I finally took her for her shots and she has managed to slowly get out of the zero percentiles. So at 3 months and one week:
WEIGHT: 10.4 LBS = 6%
HEIGHT: 22.8 INCHES = 17%
HEAD: 14.1 = 1%

Once again, following in Jaycee's footsteps, spiked almost an instant fever which lasted for 5 days. Funny thing is, I caught the nasty flu bug and held the same fever right along with her for the week. It was like a flashback of my honeymoon........I was really sick. (those of you that know me well, I spent my honeymoon dying sick with the flu with my husband on a couch instead of on a cruise to Mexico) So Lainee got a lot of mommy snuggling except I had to do alot of washing of my hands and some serious hand sanitizer so she wouldn't catch my bug.

Her blue eyes are still holding strong and her clogged tear duct has finally cleared up. No more goop, yay! She smiles and tells her cute little high-pitched stories all day. She has Jaycee's smile, which comes from their father, same dimples and all. She has found her tongue, and is super interested in her hands and fingers. She is always holding her hands in front of her and going cross-eyed to stare at them. Her personality is blooming every day. We love her so much!
